Instagram is an international phenomenon. Roughly 75% of all users live outside of the US. This makes Instagram a social media tool that is used worldwide by people wanting to get a start in social media. A network with a similar impact is Facebook, Instagram´s mother company.
Of course, Instagram does have a favoured age range. German newspaper “Computer BILD” and statista found out that Instagram is especially popular within a young target group. 35% of under 19s in Germany use Instagram on a regular basis. In the US its only 19% of the under 19 year olds. Young people are tomorrow´s generation of consumers. Thereby it´s easy and important to reach them today.
