Instagram: Delete search history
On Instagram, you can search for accounts, hashtags, and places where posts were made. The handy thing is that Instagram creates a search history so that you don't have to enter the term again in a later search. Often, a friend or acquaintance may look over your shoulder while you're Instagramming and see what you've searched for so far. But people don't always necessarily have to see what you're looking for and what your own interests are. Therefore, we show you in this post, how you can delete the search history in Instagram.
How to delete the viewfinder in Instagram
- Open the Instagram app and select the profile icon at the bottom right.
- Then select the button with the three dashes at the top right to open the menu.
- Then select the button with the three dashes at the top right to open the menu.
- The app will now ask you again if you really want to delete the search history. Select "Remove history" to confirm this.
Attention: This step cannot be undone!
Tip:
Depending on the smartphone version and the operating system used (Android or Apple iOS), this function may be located under a different menu item. For example, not under "Security", but "Account". In any case, you will generally find the option under "Settings". It is easy to find!
